Clear Off the Fireplace Mantle Before Parties
We’re hosting one stop along a progressive dinner in our neighborhood this weekend and will be serving appetizers. There are supposed to be four couples joining us, so I’ve been cleaning the first floor of the house to prepare for our guests. I don’t think I’m going to set up an extra table in the hopes that everyone will just mingle throughout the living room and dining room. If I clear off the mantle, people can always rest plates and glasses up there above the Fireplace. Finger food will make this much easier, so I’m planning a menu of barbecued chicken wontons, potato skins, and a vegetable platter.
