So Are Burglar Alarms Really a Deterrant?
Most houses now come with a box attached to their front wall – the burglar alarm. And we hear them go off at all times of the day. More often that not when someone isn’t quick enough to switch them off as they come home, or they simply forget their alarm security code, or there’s just something wrong with it. We hear our neighbour’s alarm, but often don’t react. THAT’S the usual scenario.
An so burglar alarms aren’t such a deterrant – certainly not what they used to be. Much more a worry to burglars are DIY CCTV kits as they are damning evidence proving their criminal actions and they are usually well out of reach.
