Barcelona Football Club in Huge Debt
Like most other businesses, in football money has to be spent on players so that a club achieves success and is able to generate more money. And this is the irony at the moment with the Spanish giants in Catalonia, Barcelona. Barcelona football club made a lost last year of 77million euros – just over £64m. The club even had to take out a huge loan of £125 to fund some running costs such as players’ wages. Yet, despite the money worries, Barcelona wants to sign the Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas. If they don’t get the right players they won’t have much success and they won’t make the money they require.
